Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Issued for Venetian Isles
Updated 7/14/2025 5:08:44 PM
The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO), in consultation with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) has issued a precautionary Boil Water Advisory (BWA) for the Venetian Isles neighborhood.
Water pressures in this area may have fallen below 20 pounds per square inch (psi) while crews were performing routine flushing maintenance activities. Water pressure has been restored above 20 psi, and water quality samplers will begin collecting samples for testing. Results may take up to 24 hours to achieve. Customers in other areas of the city are not affected and do not need to boil their water.

We're pleased to share our latest drinking water quality report! The report shows SWBNO continues to provide quality drinking water to New Orleans according to federal and state water quality standards.
A boil-water advisory is a public health announcement that the public should boil tap water before drinking it. This document, which will be permanently housed on the Water Facts page, contains information and recommendations for use during boil-water advisories.
